A short film of the song Winona by the band Deafheaven that features great shots, sequences, pleasant cinematography, and a decent reflective message.

"Winona" from a cinematic perspective is well executed, as it relates to the lyrics of the song and the images seen on screen, providing a great plus for the connection with its audience. On the other hand, it significantly accompanies the mixed feelings of the characters in this little story.

Psychologically and reflectively, I liked it. Covering themes such as despair, the loss of a loved one, accepting the present, forced decisions, loneliness, sadness, trauma, suicide, death, mental lapses, internal screams, fear, frustration, distance, and understanding the twists and turns of life is impressive.

Reflecting on the aforementioned with those sequences of scenes and in 4:3 format is another level. Their cinematography and costumes promote dark colors to reflect the feelings of our protagonists. Not to mention that play of light and shadows.

The song, the images, the sequences, and their speed combined create a unique experience, and if you're a fan of the genre, it's a whole different story.
