The Ruins of Gold is a medium-length film in which Camila Moreno and her band travel to the town of Las Melosas, located in Cajón de Maipo, to make a live audiovisual record of Honeycomb, playing several songs from her latest album under the direction of director Simón Vargas, from the production company 3 Thirds. What makes this project even more special is that Las Melosas –a former German mining camp that operated in the 1930s– was used as a clandestine detention and torture center during the Pinochet dictatorship. The author explains it in her words: "I wanted to transform this space of torture into something artistic, into music. The intention is to recover memory and give it a special resignification. The place is full of horror, fantasy and reality stories. We believe that music is a form of denunciation and also a transformation of pain into something else".
