The beach. Sky blue sea, white sand. Its attendants tanned, blackened, reddened. Amongst this crowd, no one fat. He remains cloistered in his den, sheltered from the sun and the noisy masses of people. Behind his curtains, he contemplates Marie, young and beautiful vacationer... and awaits the night...
Short film. A physically repulsive hirsute obese man lives alone in his dark house, observing from his windows the beautiful young people who cavort on the sunny ocean beach just yards away. Is he yearning to share their love and companionship? Is he dreaming of losing weight so that he also can enjoy the beach without being judged on his physical attributes? When he finally does go outside, what is it that he craves from the sympathetic young women who respond to his apparent helplessness?
