Beppe is a resigned bookseller; for months, franchises and e-commerce have been driving him toward bankruptcy. One day, a mysterious woman enters the bookstore. She does not speak; she communicates only through her notepad. She asks Beppe for a book he has never heard of. And yet, among the shelves, he finds it. All its pages are blank. All except one. Reading it transports Beppe into the story of a pirate, a wizard, and a collector of doorknobs. Something in the story is broken-just like in Beppe's life. It will be up to him to fix it and, in the process, fix himself.
