Scientist Seth Gamble unveils his Artificial Intelligence creation Emme (played stoically by Ameena Green), a sort of robot, in the second installment of "Synthesis". Instead of the awe and wonder of science-fiction we get routine porn.

Her appearance is all wrong: after we see the mechanics inside her head, Seth puts a wig on her, but in the next scene she has very realistic hair on her head (the wig replaced with the actress's own hairdo). Emme has large tattoos and plenty of pubic hair, again courtesy of the actress and not believable on the humanoid robot. So the suspension of disbelief here is shattered.

On with the show nonetheless, she prepares his breakfast, exhibits her vast knowledge (as programmed) and immediately gives him a blow job to begin 25 minutes of XXX action. He shows her around his modern home (a familiar porno location) and then his research assistant Jules (cute Chloe Foxxe) arrives and Seth tells her about his new creation and plans to "socialize" her with a cocktail party to which he's invited a couple of friends.

So far, so ordinary. The dialogue is boring and everything is so matter-of-fact that one wonders why bother? If only sex matters here, I guess the lack of drama or anything remotely interesting about this Asimov territory subject matter is to be expected. So the loyal Digital Playground fan will have to wait for something to happen in future episodes.
