The original draft of the screenplay was totally different and the new direction took place almost overnight.
The film was made over two days in September 2024 with a skeleton crew.
Once Matt saw Sami in an Instagram Reel, he rewrote the screenplay for Sami to star in the movie.
The "Michael C. Jordan Theory" is that you can "hack the Instagram algorithm by talking about things you want to see reflected in the content you scroll." Hopefully, that makes sense.
Matt wasn't on set for quite a few scenes in the movie because his two-year-old daughter was crying and he tended to her.
