The pineapple plantation's original owner is actually the plantation supervisor Qian Duo Duo's great-uncle, as Zu Ye reminded Duo Duo before the latter was brought to the police for having an illegal gambling den at the pineapple plantation.
Yueniang spoke of how she learned to make longan tea from her mother, and her mother is none other than Huang Juxiang, also played by Jeanette Aw back in Xiao niang re (2008) through flashbacks. Her grandmother, whom she later spoke of how she came to know of making ayam ponteh from, is Tian Lan, played by Yun Xiang in Xiao niang re (2008).
