To visually simulate the intense environment inside a glass-melting furnace, the filmmakers built an improvised studio in a garage. They used a FreeFly high-speed camera with a macro lens to capture the glowing textures and extreme heat in striking detail-giving the film its fiery visual punch.
To achieve a distinctive, film look, the filmmakers used vintage Soviet prime lenses from the 1970s and 80s. These classic lenses, known for their unique flares and optical imperfections, were adapted to modern cinema cameras using LiDAR technology - blending analog character with digital precision.
