When he turns 50, he celebrates with a tuxedo party in the great hall of the House of Knights. He buys a Jaguar and expensive suits, while his son is placed in an expensive boarding school. What no one knows is that Johan af Donner lives far beyond his means in order to fit in and shine in the upper-class environment of which he so desperately wants to be a prominent member.
