Bob Monkhouse didn't generally go in for race-based humour, so there's what might be a surprising moment at the start of this edition, particularly for the era.

When a contestant tells Bob a story about a hair dye gone wrong, Bob puts on a mock-East Asian accent and remarks that "some Orientals" might have said "you were just too big for your bleaches".

Goofs
During a grid on films with the word "Great" in the title, Bob refers to there being "two versions" of The Great Gatsby, citing the adaptations with Robert Redford and Alan Ladd.

However, there were actually three versions at the time this episode was shot, with the silent, missing The Great Gatsby (1926) unreferenced by Bob.
