There's a very stilted atmosphere on this edition, with the contestants, particularly the female players, very reticent during the games.

There are some slightly awkward moments during the opening chat with Bob, with Marie Ingram just nodding to one of Bob's observations, only for him to suggest: "You can say yes."

While both female contestants can be reluctant to expand on their answers, Jonny, the male contestant, discusses what games take place in the casino he works at, with the almost non sequitur: "No cock fighting though. We're not that barbaric."

The somewhat disjointed style of communication continues throughout, as if the contestants haven't been fully warmed up before the show began recording.

Yet perhaps the element most making the show seem staid is the disconnect between the reactions of the contestants and the "audience". While all three only seem to regard the majority of Bob's jokes on this edition as worthy of a smile or a slight chuckle, the post-dubbed "studio audience" are high in the mix, giving roars of approval. It makes for an odd viewing experience, where the audio tries to convince viewers at home they're having a hilarious time, juxtaposed with the visuals which suggest that this isn't the case.
