This is the first co-production of Atlanta Story Partners.
Interviews include Olympic Champions Dan O'Brien, Janet Evans and Johann Olav Koss, who each have special connections to the Atlanta Games. O'Brien was named "world's greatest athlete" as winner of the 1996 Olympic decathlon. Evans joined the Atlanta Olympic bid team in 1988, later running as the penultimate Olympic torchbearer in the opening ceremony. Koss launched a major nonprofit in relation to the Atlanta Games as inspired by conversations he shared with Andrew Young.
The film team began work in late 2019, with initial interviews completed just before the pandemic started in March 2020. Production resumed in 2022 including a two-day filming on location at Centennial Olympic Park.
