This movie should have been easy to pull off. But when you have 35 minutes of absolute nothingness before the first match, then 8 more minutes of monologues before the next match, that's when you realize the film is more in love with it's own script than with the concept itself.

None of the characters are interesting. None of the back stories matter. The host is supposed to be this charasimatic madman but comes off as grating and boring. Characters each show up with thier own monologue which seems like just an excuse to pad the run time.

It is telling that every so often, one of the characters themselves yells out "Get on with it!" If your own characters are saying that, it should be a sign your movie is dragging itself out too long.

Movies like "13" about competetive Russian Roulette is a more interesting take on a similiar story. And honestly, I thought that movie sucked. But it did the concept better than this film.
