The animation takes us into a real historical era in the beginning of the 20th century, in a quite interesting place, Sulina, that was a flamboyant port. A melting pot of no less than 20 nations living in the same place.

Obviously the protagonist is a fictional character but his journey is full circle. Without any spoilers, I can only say that the architecture and overall production design is well researched and adds to the immersive storytelling. Kudos to the makers, peace to the haters :)
