In the house's daughter Kathy, he finds a soulmate and an absorbing love grows between the two. An impossible love, which will eventually have fatal consequences. The more than 250-year-old Bristol Old Vic theatre is the setting when director Emma Rice transforms Emily Brontë's dark novel into a theatre performance, with elements of both song and dance.
