Plot

The World will end 6:41 Friday. After a skeptic (SCOTT) finds handwritten notes from himself around his house bearing these apocalyptic words, his mind unravels over the meaning behind the message and the paranormal experience of Automatic Writing.

Monday 6:41 PM: SCOTT, a man in his thirties, plays a video game. He explains through narration that he is making a video diary, in an attempt to explain what happened what happened four days before the end of the World. Suddenly time is MISSING. Scott wakes up on the couch, turns off the TV and leaves the room, without seeing a note lying nearby that reads THE WORLD WILL END 6:41 FRIDAY.

The next morning he looks for his keys, and finds them next to the note. He reads it, not fully understanding its meaning. He does know one thing. Its in his handwriting.

Tuesday 6:41 PM: Scott stares vacantly at his food while his date MELISSA looks on, annoyed. When she asks him if anything is wrong, he asks her how she thinks the world will end. Taken aback by his odd behavior, Melissa applies lipstick, ignoring him, while Scott apologizes. Suddenly, Scott drifts off into a trance. Melissa calls his name, but Scott doesnt hear her. He grabs her lipstick and writes on his napkin. She snatches her purse and runs out, staring at him as he writes, his eyes rolled back in his head. Later, he wakes, finding Melissa gone, the candle burned out, and a note written in lipstick THE WORLD WILL END 6:41 FRIDAY.

Wednesday 6:41 AM: We find Scott sleeping and writing. Scotts left hand writes the message on a paper plate while he is unconscious. We see him writing in toothpaste on the bathroom mirror. He puts on a jacket and grabs the door-handle, but MISSING time brings us to Scott, asleep, writing the message on the dry-erase board. He wakes, and witnesses his arm and hand moving on their own. He is terrified.

Scott sets up a camera in his room. Hes starting a video diary to prove hes not crazy. The experts, Wikipedia, advised him that Automatic Writing means channeling written messages from disembodied spirits. But he doesnt believe thats whats happening to him. At least he hopes thats the case.

A few hours later Scott is drunk and sleepy. His hand slowly comes alive as he drifts off. He wakes, turns on the video diary camera, and watches as the message is written out again. He reads the note into the camera and puts it down, despair and depression overcoming him.

Thursday 6:41 PM: Scott is glued to his computer, looking at images of war, weapons of mass destruction, zombies, disease, and Armageddon. He has been doing this for endless hours, his sleep-deprived eyes unable to take any more of the violence and slaughter.

Friday 6:41 AM: Scott stares at the clock in his bedroom, back against the wall. As the clock turns to 6:41 he carefully gets up and opens the blinds. Outside, life goes on like normal. He turns and sees his room full of handwritten messages. He gets in bed, angrily swiping the notes away from him. Worst case, he just wasted three days of leave on paranoia. No, thats not right. Worst case, hes crazy.

We follow the length of his sleeping body as color fades to black and white, and an image of DEATH standing at the foot of Scotts bed. A rusty scythe frames his body.

Friday 6:41 PM: Scott lies dead in bed. Blood seeps from his mouth and nose. Narration from the video diary reveals he hopes there is more beyond 6:41 Friday. If not, it was worth it. And hed do it again.
