Grayson and Jane help a donor-sired teenager sue a sperm bank for the identity of her biological father, and when that proves a dead end, track down a matching 'donor-sibling' and work on her hostile mother. Owen helps his friend Ellie Chapin, who uncharacteristically abused her power as mayor of Malibu to turn the town-hall into a temporary school for a neighboring community, which attracted an impeachment procedure, and further complications seeing them back in court and worse. Grayson agreed to date 'double' Jane again, but even after they ended in bed, she remains suspicious and makes a fuss about being implicitly called irrational on a factual basis.
