What you do see in this claymation short on the other hand? Very much intended - and the references to Science Fiction and horror movies are quite clear - for those who are savvy (and well read/watched enough).

This being claymation it also means it can go and do things that might have been way too expensive to pull off - special effects wise. While it isn't real, if you are squeamish the "violence" in it is quite ... well I thought it was entertaining! Again, a movie and meant to do that - also shock of course. Just be prepared - this is not a kids (short) movie.
