Bob refers to Lorraine Manning as "the first, errr, deaf contestant we've had on this programme."

While this is true for the Bob Monkhouse era, the Paul Daniels era of the show regularly had disabled contestants, including employing a sign language interpreter for one edition.

Lori (introduced as "Lorraine" by voiceover, but with "Lori" on her name plate) is severely yet not profoundly deaf, so wears hearing aids for the programme. It's notable that the voiceover introductions by Tom Edwards are delivered in reverse order (right to left), which was probably due to this reason, so that Lori could be introduced last and be sure of when to react.
