It snowed heavily the night before the outdoor action sequence was filmed. This caused problems during the shoot as the ground became wet and slippery.
Travis sprained two of his fingers during the fight with Ryan Barton. Because of the slippery conditions outside Ryan overshot his mark and kicked Travis's fingers so they touched the back of his hand.
The hallway fight was made up on the spot. James and Travis had trained to fight in the master bedroom, however when Travis saw the unique mirrors in the hallway he thought it would be more visually interesting to film there instead of the bedroom.
Maura Carter had never acted before filming Nick Ryan. Travis wanted a strong female character who could fight convincingly. The two worked together at a restaurant and Travis was impressed with her physical presence.
The opening credits were inspired by James Bond.
