Wipeout (1994)

Trivia

Episode #3.8

Wipeout

This edition didn't make the Top 70 Chart.
The grid subjects featured on this edition are:

Main Grids: People who can't serve on juries; Ballet terms; Political nicknames.

Auction Grids: Comic characters that are over 50 years old; Volcanoes that have erupted in the last 100 years.

Final Grid: Capital cities.
The subject of the final grid - Capital Cities - had previously featured in Episode #1.15 (1994).

As its previous appearance was as a main grid, then 4 more options were required than its use here, yet 7 of the same countries were used in both versions.
The subject of the first Auction Grid - Comic characters that are over 50 years old - was reused as a final grid in Episode #5.56 (1998).

The reuse of the grid saw 8 of the same 12 options appear, though the subject was amended to comic characters over 60 years old, not 50. A probable reason for this is that one of the "Wipeout" options - Biffo the Bear - had turned 50 two weeks before the recording of the later episode, and three months before its broadcast date.
The subject of the second Auction Grid - volcanoes that have erupted in the last 100 years - was reused as an Auction Grid in Episode #5.46 (1998).

8 of the 12 answers were identical, with just 4 differences.
