As referenced in Episode #5.67 (1998), there appears to be something of a feud between Bob and Michael Barrymore, with jokes about the comedian appearing fairly regularly in Wipeout. This edition sees Bob tell the tale of Michael supposedly unable to Christen ships as "he wouldn't let go of the bottle".
Upon hearing that contestant Kevin Mutter has six children, Bob remarks "They call him daddy, he believes them, it's a happy family." It's perhaps a little shocking in the modern age, with a quiz show host suggesting a contestant's wife has had an affair and his children aren't his.
"Zig & Zag" appears as a Wipeout answer on a grid about toys from Play School (1964). As the two puppets aren't related to a single series (albeit most known for The Big Breakfast (1992) ) and none are specified, this isn't included under Movie Connections.
