Having watched numerous The Last of Us fan films-and comparing them with HBO's big-budget adaptation-there are occasional gems out there. Unfortunately, this one isn't among them. It's not bad, but it's not particularly memorable either. The acting's pretty good-I especially like this portrayal of Joel-and the location works nicely. The story takes place in a large, abandoned industrial building, which captures The Last of Us atmosphere well. The fight scenes are solid, the special effects are decent, and the clicker mask looks fine. That said, I would've liked to see more infected and fewer hostile humans, but I guess it's easier to feature human enemies in the story.
