With friends and family in recovery for many years I may have gained a slight bit of insight regarding alcoholics and drug addicts. I take some of the comments here regarding the choice of characters featured having nice lives and being well enough off as having their point. I have known many people struggling in life along with their addictions and it is a very different story. BUT, having said that I think there may be an underlying theme in this film that the pressure these women feel to be 'perfect' for their family, children, work associates, etc. May be part of the anxiety feeding their substance abuse. I think that may be alluded to in the title, "Lipstick & Liquor".
