Had Dominica decided to continue with the role, it may have made her position difficult once the episode had been televised, telling a national audience she wants to leave.

A very similar final grid game had previously appeared in Episode #2.6 (1994). However, while here the question is dogs from Blue Peter (1958), the earlier episode had the more generalised "pets", and included cats and birds.

With this in mind, only five of the answers were the same: Bonnie, Goldie, Jason, Joey and Petra. (As Jason was a cat and Joey a parrot, they became Wipeouts for this edition. One of the dogs, Mabel, made her Blue Peter debut on January 8th 1996, 14 months after the broadcast date of the earlier Wipeout episode, so wouldn't have been possible as an option in that edition.)

The third Auction Grid - TV shows that had words in their theme tunes - would appear again as a main grid in Episode #6.59 (1999).

However, despite being on the same topic, only one option was the same on both grids: Cheers (1982).
