Bob Monkhouse in Wipeout (1994)

Trivia

Episode #5.10

Wipeout

This edition was recorded on 27th January 1998.
Around the 10'20m mark, a contestant correctly guesses the tricky option of "Narwhal" as a type of whale.

After it's revealed as a correct answer, Bob begins to speak before stopping for applause, telling the "studio audience" that: "I'm glad you're pleased, ladies and gentlemen."

As with all of the Bob Monkhouse Wipeout episodes, they were recorded without a studio audience and the crowd noise dubbed in afterwards, including the outbreak of "spontaneous applause".
In demonstrating how the final grid works, Bob gives an explicit clue, not only pressing the option of Shirley Bassey as an "example", but in this instance following it up with "I'm... pretty sure."

As the grid features singers of James Bond theme songs, then it was the easiest option to guess, but the aid Bob gives is still overt.
The grid subjects featured on this edition are:

Main Grids: Red heads; Types of whale.

Auction Grids: Film terms; Tennis players who won Wimbledon three times or more.

Final Grid: Artists who performed James Bond theme tunes.
