Oliver and Simon have a problem that it seems they can help each other with. Oliver longs to find another man to eat. Simon seems to have it all, A loving boyfriend, A beautiful daughter, and yet his depression, and a distorted self image is his ugly reality. His desire to commit suicide and his inability to do so, creates hell on earth for him. One night Oliver and Simon come across each other on the dark net out of pure chance, and their lives take a deep plunge into darkness.

In 2003 a lonely German man placed an advertisement on the Internet asking for someone who wanted to be eaten. he searched the world wide web, and met several candidates for the task, but either turned down or was aggressively rejected by numerous candidates. On the 9th of March 2003, he finally finds a suicidal man who had a desire to be eaten. This film shows in great emotional and blood drenched detail that day - from the two of them meeting, up to the day after when the Cannibal places an ad for his second meal. There are Several versions of this story but German director L.B. HYAMS became Interested in the story and wanted to direct his own version of what had occurred taking a more artistic and inventive approach rather than an autobiographical one. Memoir of a Cannibal is a double narrative showing both sides of the story. Filmed hand-held, you are right there - in the park, in the slaughter room, the bath and finally in the murder room.
