Jeff Cobb (later known as JC Mateo) made his WWE debut during the United States Championship fatal four-way match, attacking LA Knight to aid Jacob Fatu's title retention.
This is the 20th Backlash event
First Backlash event in three years which took place on American soil, previous two events were celebrated outside of USA: Puerto Rico (2023) and France (2024) although Puerto Rico doesn't count as it is considered U.S. soil so the 2024 event is truly the only one to take place on foreign soil.
