Plot

A reformed cowboy, Kinan, returns to his hometown after failing to make it big in the big city and for his father's funeral. He searches for his old ranch buddy, Gabriel, whom he hasn't heard from in years.

After failing to live a new life in the big city, Kinan heads back home to find out his father has just passed away. Through this, he tries to disassociate from his current situation by finding an old photo of his cowboy partner, who he hasn't heard from in years. He tries to find his old friend Luis, who works on the side as a drag queen, and from there, enters on a journey to find his cowboy partner. Luis mentions where Gabriel is through Sarah, a past lover/friend with Gabriel's benefits whom Kinan can't accept. Soon, he finds the small home where Gabriel and his father, Ernesto, live. Just as Kinan starts talking to his dad about his current job as a construction worker, Gabriel pulls into the driveway and greets him, although his delivery is pretty muted and off-key. There, Kinan realizes Gabriel's closeted nature persists, and drama ensues
