Herzog loved the film and stated to the filmmaker "It's a real movie and you know it...to achieve this in only a small number of days is remarkable. Bravo... I love the depth in your film, don't ever change it".
Werner Herzog came up with the title of the film 'Lilith goes galactic' after hearing the story of how Lilith's cat is known as an intergalactic traveler.
The film was made during the 2024 Filmmaking Accelerator under the mentorship with Werner Herzog and cinematographer Peter Zeitlinger. While there while Joshua asked Werner a question on how to unify their voice as a filmmaker. He grabbed Joshua on the shoulders and said "If you emulate me I will come for you in the middle of the night with a shovel. And strike you down cowardly from behind". He repeated the story to Joshua a second time with a beer in hand laughing with them at the conclusion of the several weeks spent together.
