At Harvard, where she studied in residence, African American Catholic Journalist Ora Mae Lewis gives a first-hand account of her 1939 groundbreaking historic Preservation of the Faith journal article 'Interracial Harmony in the South.' Ora describes her remarkable experiences ending Jim Crow segregation in October 1938 throughout the entire City of New Orleans, Louisiana, in all of its buses and public places, for the Eighth National Eucharistic Congress event for over one million people.
