The concept of the film was developed after director Jerome Cloutier had his first dentist visit in years. The feeling of helplessness and the calm patronizing nature of the dentist made him wonder if in this position, you'd be willing to accept anything someone with such an authority on you would say, no matter how ridiculous it would sound.
