The Paducah, Kentucky 48 Hour Film Project was hosted by the Maiden Alley Cinema; which is where writer and producer, Heather A. Ryan was the Executive Director until her teen daughter had a verbal confrontation with Senate Minority Leader, Mitch McConnell (which lead to her firing). Upon learning that the judges for the festival would be the same board of directors who fired her, Heather Ryan decided to create a political movie, regardless of the genre they chose for the competition - knowing that no matter how good their film, they would win no awards. One of only nine entries, Bad Baby Productions chose "Fantasy". They won no awards.
