I sometimes wonder how does Hong Sang-soo keeps making movies so quickly, that's so low budget, yet still remains interesting, slow yet engaging with language, communication, and people. That's real talent there.

Filled with a purposeful low budget atmosphere and camera work, Hong does best with dialogue and character interactions. As the story and characters remain realistic and nature, as it explores the themes of family bonds, connections, and understanding of people through language, art, communication and meanings. The way how Hong directs the dialogue, acting and scenes feel purposeful, nature and realistic.

Hong's simple style isn't for everyone as it is slow and kind of repetitive at times. But I do enjoy a good slow driven narrative base. This isn't my favorite movie from Hong but it's still a good one.
