"Legacy" is a major discovery, a forgotten feature from the VHS era that was written by, directed by and starring Taylor Wayne. It's a terrific showcase of her beauty (and sexual prowess) and somewhat different from the usual Adult movie of its day. Digital Playground reissued it as a DVD six years later for posterity, yet it was missing from IMDb until I added it today, 28 years after release.

Looking stunning, she plays a character named Catherine who is anxious about her sex addiction, and goes to a shrink named Dr. Kelp, ably played by Shayla La Veaux, who suggests they try past lives regression therapy to get at the root of her problem. We're treated to a series of sex vignettes, first a couple of recent memories narrated by Taylor and then a pair of quite strange erotic fantasies, not from her past lives like we expected but more from an overactive imagination. No surprise that the show ends with Taylor forcing an obviously willing Shayla to have sex with her in the office, and given a clean bill of health by the good doc.

Catherine's first memory is of a lesbian tryst with Felecia (casting Adult Cinema's #1 lesbian performer in this role), a very hot scene with excellent closeup photography. Next, she relates to the doctor how she let herself be picked up by Ian Daniels and let him dominate her, behaving like a prostitute and even getting paid for it afterward.

Her first regression is a bizarre scene that is left to be cryptic for the viewer. In voiceover, Taylor describes a scene with two women, in which exotic Syren is dominant, with a female sex slave. Yet what we see is Syren with an effeminate Gay porn actor named John Long (who I had previously seen in the strange fetish video "The Spanking Master"), who f*cks her with a rubber on his dick, He has an androgynous look, more butch female than male, but with a dick! For 1997 this is quite unusual and left unexplained as are the intercut shots of Taylor giving a blow job to someone through a glory hole. As past life regression the scene seems out of place.

Similarly, her next regression shows T. T. Boy as The Devil, horns and all, with two babes (busty Davia Ardell and flat-chested Vanessa) in a threesome in Hell, with red lighting effect. This scene as "regression" is also quite odd in context. The finale has Catherine awakening and catching her shrink Shayla masturbating, causing her to take over and give Shayla quite an erotic ride in her office.

While there are obvious elements here of a vanity project, Taylor turns in a fascinating video that deserves rediscovery.
