Ivana is a popular therapist, in addition to specializing in a marriage counseling, she's also the author of popular self-help books, she prepares to appear on a television show. Veljko closes a large construction deal with a help from the investment of the dubious investor Zvonimir Crnogorac Crni. Marina gets fired from the restaurant where she works, but her situation improves when her husband calls her and the children to come to Zagreb. Joco proposes to Petra, but he's concerned how his daughter Una, who is studying acting in Sarajevo, will accept the engagement.

After Veljko's confession, chaos ensues in the restaurant. Jakov leaves in revolt, and Nika follows him in order not to do something stupid. At the house, the surprise awaits Joco and Una - Petra has moved in. Particularly Una is unpleasantly surprised, and gets even more upset, when she learns the news. Una and Miro realize that they switched suitcases at the airport, so Una, after getting upset with her father, looks for Miro and goes to return his suitcase, but they end up making out. Ivana invites Marina to spend the night, since Lea is sick, and throws Veljko out from the house. Crni wants Petra back and he tells her, he bought a house for her. Petra decides to see Crni for one last time, but declines the house offer. The doctor confirms Veljko's fatal diagnosis and Veljko is ready to give more bad news to his family. Marina and Ivana are convinced there is a third wife somewhere. The betrayed wives form a plan. After the night of drinking, drunk Jakov sits behind the wheels and Una joins him, when Miro texts her to come back. Jakov causes a crash leaving Una being unconscious.

After making a shocking confession to Slaven, Veljko notices a suspicious man following him. He and Slaven decide to chase after him, and Veljko realizes that Crni's threats against him and his family were no bluff. Meanwhile, after the accident, Jakov and Una are rushed to the hospital. Una's condition is critical, and she is taken into emergency surgery. Joco and Petra arrive at the hospital, where they learn that the hit-and-run was caused by an unknown driver who fled the scene. Joco vows to avenge his daughter-unaware that it was Petra behind the wheel. Terrified, Petra panics as she hides the truth. Marina and Ivana's relationship grows strained, just as journalists arrive for an interview Ivana has completely forgotten about. Overwhelmed, Petra calls Crni for help.

Petra meets with Crni and begs him to get her out of the trouble she's in and to dispose of the car. Crni hesitates, unsure whether he should help her. Meanwhile, Veljko quarrels with Jakov, who still refuses to speak with him, and he also fails to calm the furious Ivana, who blames him for everything that has gone wrong. Joco discovers that Jakov was driving under the influence and reacts violently, forcing Veljko to step in to prevent him from hurting his son. At the same time, Miro crosses paths with Petra. Marina frantically searches for Vili, while Zrinka alerts the police that Marina has disappeared with her nephew. In the hospital, Una finally awakens from surgery. On the rooftop, Jakov finds himself teetering on the edge, but his half-brother Miro arrives just in time to save him.

Veljko comes to pick up Lea and Marina at the police station and, after an argument in front of the officer, takes them to the hotel. Parting with his daughter proves difficult for him. Veljko then goes to stay with Slaven, who is far from pleased about his unexpected arrival. Veljko explains his plan to protect himself from Crni's blackmail. Back at the house, Joco realizes that Una's new car has been stolen, while Petra discovers that all her clothes are missing. Petra immediately knows that Crni is behind it. Miro visits Una in the hospital, but their conversation is interrupted by Jakov. Meanwhile, Ivana throws all of Veljko's belongings into garbage bags and removes them from the house. Her patients witness her in a state of chaos, and she struggles to continue therapy, especially after seeing a newspaper article about her own marriage. Veljko returns the money to Crni, determined to have nothing more to do with him, but Crni refuses to back down. Later, Veljko learns that Petra's hit-and-run car is missing, only to discover it stashed in Crni's yard. At that moment, he becomes convinced that Crni intended to kill his son.

After the incident Veljko has caused in Crni's bar he ends up in custody. To his luck, his friend Inspector Simunic bails him out, after his confession. what he got involved in. Ivana calls him and demands he shows up at the the book launch, Veljko uses the opportunity to kiss Ivana in front of everybody and to put a stop to the rumors in the media. Since the event is being televised, everybody is shocked to see it, especially Marina. The relationship between Marina and Divna gets more complicated and ends in an argument. Jakov apologizes to Una for the accident, but does not take responsibility, which greatly disappoints Una. Miro visits Una and tells her he will go back home, the separation falls hard on both of them, after they realize they will not see each other again. They kiss passionately.

Crni is angry about Veljko and plots a revenge. Him forging a plan is interrupted by Petra who demands her belongings. Una is about to be released from the hospital and Joco asks Petra to spend a few days on all expenses paid, Spa resort in Opatija. The idea throws Petra off guard and she breaks into a heated argument, which results in breaking off the engagement. After seeing the kiss on TV, Marina crashes Ivana's book promotion and threatens Veljko that she will go back to Sarajevo and he will never see his children again. Veljko tries to warn Ivana that they are in danger, but arguments escalate into a family quarrel and ends with Jakov leaving the house. Divna opens up to Ljubo and they bond. Petra decides to move into the hotel, but the credit card she stole from Crni is declined when Kasmir shows up to her rescue. Veljko is being knocked down and duck taped by Crni's henchman- Toma.

Crni and Toma took Veljko to Sljme, where new threats have been made. Veljko calls Slaven to come and get him, but Slaven and Zeljka discover that their offices had been broken into, Crni left a business card with a bullet. Miro and Petra spent a drunken night in his hotel room. Ater trashing the place and other guest complains, on the next day, Miro along with Marina and his little sister Lea are on the way back home, when a phone call from Marina's friend changes everything. Veljko has sold their apartment. Petra has been thrown out of the hotel room, but a phone call from Joco saves her, as he requests to see her, which she agrees on, while playing hard to get. Una arrives home from the hospital, when Jakov comes to visit, she breaks up with him, which leaves Jakov even more damaged. Nika accidentally finds Veljko's medical records and learns that he is dying. He admits everything to a heart-broken Nika, but asks her not to say anything to the family. Veljko forms a plan on how to protect his family, and how to get rid of Crni once and for all.

Marina is livid with Veljko and decides to return to Zagreb to confront him about the sale of the apartment in Sarajevo. Veljko wants to protect his family by all costs and is ready to do anything to succeed. The meeting between Marina and Veljko ends in an heated argument. He tries to convince her how much he cares, but she doesn't listen. He offers a company apartment for her and children, but she declines the offer. Jakov finds a shelter with Divna. She loves him, but she also shows him her firm hand. Drago and Sanja find a phone- which ends up being the phone that Veljko used for his other family. Petra and Joco find a restaurant space and Marina decides she and her children are going to move in with Veljko's other family, which leaves Ivana shocked.

Petra and Lorena are arguing over the small damage Lorena caused to Joco's car. Jakov stands by Lorena and defends her in front of Petra and Joco. To Ivana's horror, Marina is determined to stay at the house. After Crni's threat, Veljko takes matters into his own hands. He records his farewell video for his loved ones and leaves to do the only thing that will bring peace to his family. Una and Miro meet again, and he takes her home, where Ruzica has an accident and Miro jumps to give her a hand. Ruzica puts an idea into Joco's head. He will hire Miro to work for him, to get back at Veljko. Petra is shocked to see him at the house. Both Petra and Veljko are looking to meet Crni, at the house, each to their own agenda. As Crni and Petra argue on the rooftop of his house, she pushes him over the ledge and he lands on top of Veljko's car.

Veljko's in the state of shock after Crni's tragic fall from the terrace on the top of his car. He decides to help him and takes him to the hospital. The police questions Veljko's motives. His friend- the inspector informs him that it is him now that could be charged. Petra is in apparent shock after what happened. She flees the scene and returns home where she lies to Joco about her whereabouts. During the fight with Crni, she lost her engagement ring, which Gabrijela finds in the grass. Inspector Simunic questions Gabrijela too. Ivana decides she will let Marina and Lea stay overnight and Divna stages a sibling reunion in her house. Petra is in a full panic mode and throws her worn clothes into a rubbish bin. The doctor gives Gabrijela not such good news on Crni, but she insist on seeing him.

Crni has survived, but he's in a coma and under police protection. Petra spent the night worrying about what would happen to her, and after reading an article in the online, she decides to go to the hospital to make sure about his condition and pretends to be his sister. Later, Petra decides to search for the ring and goes to Crni's house, where Gabrijela sees her. Joco takes Una to the construction site to show her what awaits her after graduation - an apartment in a new apartment building. With a heavy heart, Una admits to her father that she dropped out of the Academy of Dramatic Arts. Joco gets upset, and decides to teach her about life and obligations, Joco forces her to work on a construction site of Petra's bar, she gets a surprise in form of Miro, who also takes Joco's job opportunity. Velljko visits the house, but runs into Marina who came out fresh under shower. Joco notices that Petra's not wearing her engagement ring.

The argument between Ivana, Marina and Veljko is interrupted by the police who came to take Veljko in for the questioning. Ivana loses patience and tells Marina that she has to move out or she'll be escorted by the police. Zrinka puts the idea in Ivana's head to change the locks on the house. Veljko is still a suspect, but the fact that the Inspector is also questioning him about the mysterious woman who was at the scene of the accident gives him hope in all of this. Petra successfully manipulates Joco about the ring she lost, telling him is at the jeweler, but soon she gets the information that the location of the hidden car that caused the accident, in which Una was hurt will about to be revealed. Petra manipulates Kasmir into helping her out, while she removes the car from Crni's yard.

Ivan's conscience gets better of her now that she changed the locks to the house and left Marina and Lea on the street, but the two of them found refuge at Divna's, where Jakov sees them and is revolted by their arrival, he gets drunk and goes to sleep in Drago's garage. Lorena is sad as Jakov hopes to get back with Una. Petra finally manages to get rid of the car at the junk yard and is relieved, until Crni's wife, Gabrijela knocks at her door. Gabrijela returns the lost ring to her and thanks Petra for saving her life.. As Crni is still in a coma, Gabrijela takes the bag of money and decides to disappear for good.

Veljko wakes up in the office. He realizes that he has hit a rock bottom, especially when Slaven shocks him with the news that he has sold his part of the company to Crni, none the less. Veljko meets Marina and lies that everything will be resolved in order to buy some more time with Lea. Veljko leaves with Lea and arranges a meeting with Nika and Vili at the amusement park, where they spend the day of their dreams. Ivana is looking for Marina to apologize, they go to a bar where they start having shooters and while getting drunk, they bond over drinks. Joco sends Miro to pick up a car for Una as a present, but upon arrival, Miro sees Una and Jakov getting closer.

Ivana and Marina, after bonding over drinks and getting drunk they decided to go to Veljko's office building to vandalize it. After seeing Veljko helping wasted Ivana in the bathroom, she misunderstands it and leaves, while Ivana spent the night on the office sofa. Slaven talks to Ivana and continues to hide his feelings for her, as well as the fact that her husband is terminally ill. Jakov tries to win over Una again, and invites Miro for a drink and starts manipulating him about Una. Divna accuses a secretary Zeljka for having feelings for her son, which makes an awkward situation. Veljko calls his both families for a family meeting to inform them of an important decision he has made; he divided the house in half, one part for each wife, which makes Marina the owner of one half.

After the initial shock about Veljko decided to legally divide the house between Ivana and Marina, a new problem arises; the conflict between the brothers Jakov and Miro, when Jakov starts throwing insulting accusations towards Marina Miro pushes Jakov who hits the mirror and breaks the glass, which leaves Jakov losing blood and is rushed to the hospital. Jakov uses the injury to spend time with the worried Una, and along the way labels Miro as an aggressor, who tried to kill him. Una is disappointed in Miro. Lorena is aware of the financial problems her family is in. She meets the reporter who's interested in the Srica family and their problems. Sanja confesses to Zrinka that years ago, she spotted a woman's lipstick on Veljko's shirt, but decided not to say anything to avoid causing problems. Ivana learns that Jakov move to Simat's house, but when Zrinka tells her about what Sanja had confessed- she seeks Sanja and calls her a traitor, while asking her not to come to the house anymore- as she has been fired.

Ivana and Marina have a hard time sharing their living space, so Nika's lawyer friend Tereza steps in to help Ivana. Ivana is aware that she is facing a legal battle, but also an open war. During this time, Marina moves the furniture around and takes photos of the house in order to get an estimate of the property. After the conflict, Una no longer wants to work with Miro and tells her father that she is quitting, but Joco orders her to finish what she started. Una's and Miro's conflict intensifies further, when Una complains to Jakov about Miro, but asks him not to do anything- which gives Jakov an idea- he reports the incident with Miro to the police and tells them that Miro threatened to kill him. Drago complains to Veljko about Ivana firing Sanja, Veljko pushes the envelope with money, under the door, which pisses of Sanja, so much that she goes to see Ivana and gives her a piece of her mind. Petra's paradise is disturbed by Toma, who visits her and exposes her to danger. Toma wants her to return the stolen money, which clearly she knows nothing about. Petra pretends to be sick in order to avoid the Award show trip with Joco. Veljko, Slaven and Zeljka are traveling to the award show ceremony too.

Joco, together with Veljko, Slaven and Zeljka, goes to the Award Ceremony. Even though, Joco is convinced he's going to win, Veljko wins the prize and gives a somewhat clumsy speech. Joco is frustrated, but for a moment he decides he's gonna bond with Veljko. Slaven is upset that Veljko didn't mention him in his speech and in the moment, Zeljka kisses Veljko passionately. Petra is in panic because of Crni, whose recovery is most likely to happen and that doesn't work in her favor. She tries to squeeze money from the renovations to give it to Toma. Ruzica refuses Petra's demands as she remains in trouble. Police arrests Miro due to Jakov filing charges, but the inspector dismisses the charges. The journalist Dino comes to the Simat's with an offer they might or might not refuse. Dino spots naive Zrinka and is inviting her for a drink. In the privacy of his room, Veljko sobs over his destiny.

Veljko's family was taken aback by his winning the prestigious Project of the year award. Slaven, on the other hand, comes with good news: he scored a bank loan and the project can continue, now without Crni's money. After returning home, Divna kisses Ljubo on the cheek, but he hopes for something more, but Divna draws the line, at least for now. Ivana gets a visit by the real estate agent whom Marina called. Ivana puts a stop to it, and a new argument begins. Much to Ruzica's disapproval, Joco gives Petra a credit card with no spending limit. Petra visits Toma and tells him that he won't be getting any money and he better watches out, as she will tell everything to Crni about his blackmail, once he wakes up from his coma. Miro tells Joco he wants to quit, but Joco won't hear it. He tells him he has other projects for him. Zrinka goes out on a date with a journalist, who wrote that damaging article on Ivana. Will Zrinka fall into his trap again and Drago dwells whether he should call the journalist after all to provide him with the information on the Srica's. Joco surprises Petra with a wedding gift. Veljko goes to see Miro and offers him a job.

Zrinka and the tabloid reporter Dino are growing closer, which makes Ivana very angry. The whole situation ends with a quarrel between the sisters, after which Zrinka decides to break up with Dino, but he manages to charm her again and invites her to Petra's restaurant opening. Joco thinks that life has finally smiled at him; everything is in his favor - Petra opens a bar, and Veljko's son Miro comes to work for him. Veljko runs into Miro at the construction site and Veljko is left in shock, upon learning that Miro- who now works for Praljak is overseeing his project. It's the night of Petra's bar opening and Marina is hired to cater. Lorna breaks in tears after seeing Una and Jakov together again. Marina spills the tea to her tabloid boyfriend and Veljko arrives to settle the score with Joco and accuses him of taking over both of his sons. The night turns into a disaster when two of them engage in a fist fight.

Joco and Veljko engage in a fist fight at the opening of Petra's bar, which ruins Petra's evening and scatters the guests. After having sex with Zrinka, the journalist Dino takes advantage of the incident and publishes the new discovered story about Veljko. Marina takes pity on the injured Veljko and takes him to the house to mend his injuries. Ivana is decides to help, but out of jealousy she warns Marina not to bring him home anymore..Jakov and Una have slept together, but Lorena sees them together. On the net morning, Ivana is in for a unpleasant surprise, when she sees the newspaper and realizes that her sister has betrayed her. Zrinka wakes up alone in Dino's apartment, she too sees the cover story on Veljko, who wakes up in his children's room. Petra is upset with Joco for making her opening a disaster. She gets even more frustrated when a construction site workmen, show up in her exclusive bar as Joco tried to make amends to Petra for the bad reputation of the bar, but his solutions only upsets Petra even more. Now that everybody has seen the story, Ivana started getting cancellations and Zrinka attacks Dino in his office for betraying her confidence, which lands her in jail. Marina realizes that her marriage to Veljko will be annulled.

After the story about Veljko's marriages blew up, the Award committee is looking for Veljko to withdraw the award due to indecent behavior. Marina and Ivana are affected by the publishing of the story and their house is under siege by the reporters.. After confronting Veljko, Marina experiences a serious panic attack, while Ivana helps her through it. Joco is upset with Petra for being rude to his workers, so she finds a way to make up for it. She takes Marina's cake to a construction site and she fakes a sprinkled ankle. Since Zrinka was bailed out by Dino, she realizes how much she has disappointed her sister and comes to the house to pack her things. Ivana calls Drago for help, but he tells her off, until Sanja asks him to step in after all. When Zrinka tries to leave the house, she gets mobbed by the reporters, finally Ivana and Drago show up, when Drago tries to intervene, his gun fires and shoots him in the leg.

Joco is ecstatic because of the unexpected prize. He rejoices and sends photos of himself with the award to everyone, including Veljko. Driving the injured Lea to the hospital in Ivana's car, Marina damages the car of a man who decides to follow her, he tracks down Ivana and asks her to pay for the damage done. Ivana tends to Drago's superficial wound and she deeply apologizes to Sanja. The two women make up. Zrinka is determined to move out after what she's done, but Ivana stops her. Marina and Veljko quarrel in the hospital in front of Lea, which makes the little one to run away and hide. But after a difficult day, another surprise awaits Marina - Ivana blames her for the damage to the car and gives her the contact of a man who is seeking compensation. Drago is afraid he might get fired because of the gun. Both Lorena and Zrinka ask Dino not to publish the article about the incident. Inspector Damjan starts the process of investigating Ivana Oreb and her husband.

Veljko goes to court with Slaven to pay the fine, but he still feels guilty because he realizes that his (fake) marriage with Marina is coming to an end. The building is surrounded by the paparazzi, so Veljko and Slaven create a diversion. He hides at Divna's, but Divna insists that he tries to save at least one marriage. Ivana tends to Drago's wound and is shocked to learn what Jakov is up to. Ivana asks Sanja to come back to work. Tereza wants to know if Ivana has decided what to do with the marriage and about Veljko in general. Ivana begs her for a little more time because she cannot easily decide on such a big step as divorce, but Zrinka keeps pushing her. Nika and Zrinka have a fight, because Zrinka keeps trashing Veljko. After she lost all her clients, Ivana's publisher sends her all her books back. Joco is having a dinner party at home to celebrate getting the award. Una asks Jakov to attend, and Miro whom Joco likes, shows up too. Jakov is taking over a job in a warehouse from Drago in secret, so Drago won't get fired, until some thugs show up and knock Jakov over the head. Marina and Veljko say good-bye to their marriage- when sad Marina runs into her old boyfriend, the inspector Damjan.

Jakov manages to free himself and tries to escape from the robbers, but Sasa stops him. He decides to kidnap him after learning he's Veljko's son. Veljko feels bad after coming from the court. His mood is spoiled even more when Ivana informs him that she too has filed for a divorce. Nika confides to Tereza about her father's health. Joco celebrates his victory lunch, when the portable toilets, that Zeljka secretly ordered, arrive to his house. Miro and Una bond, she feels awkward when Miro puts her on the spot about her feelings. Ivana asks Zrinka to call Dino for a tell all interview, as she's ready to give her side of the story. Marina spends a day in the restaurant with her old flame, Damjan. Veljko, Slaven and Zeljka spend the evening in the office drinking and eating, when enraged Joco bursts in and ready to fight, because the provocation as they get interrupted by a call from Jakov, telling him he is being kidnapped for a ransom.

Jakov has been kidnapped. The kidnapper Sasa calls Veljko and asks for a ransom. Vilma is suspicious about the kidnapping and calls Sasa's brother Toma to confirm it. Vilma tries to buy some time until Toma gets to the road house bar. Joco snatches away the phone from Veljko and shouts at the kidnapper- he won't see any money. Joco promises Veljko that he will give his own money for Jakov's ransom. Zrinka tries to cheer up Ivana and Marina, and she suggests that they should go on dating apps to look for men, but Marina and Ivana refuse to participate. Miro shows up at the Simat house and asks for Drago's help to locate Jakov. Journalist Dino calls Zrinka for a photo shoot for Ivana's comeback article, but he has no clue, that his editor has other plans- the article has already been published, but in a derogatory way .

Jakov overhears Toma ordering Sasa to get rid of him. He automatically thinks that his life is in danger and that Sasa is planning to kill him. Veljko is worried because neither the kidnappers nor Jakov come forward. At Joco's persuasion, Veljko doesn't reveal to the inspector what is really happening, instead Joco gives him the ransom money. Ivana is in the state of shock after the news of her complete professional decline came out, she goes for a run and accidentally runs into Slaven, from whom she overhears about Jakov's being in trouble. Jakov reveals some company secrets of his father to Sasa, while Petra comforts Una. Drago has been fired from the warehouse job and while driving around Miro locates Jakov in front of the Casino. When Veljko calls- Jakov doesn't reveal that he had been let go, but Miro confronts him.

Miro demands answers from Jakov, but he doesn't get them - he starts to call Veljko to tell him what happened, but Jakov takes his phone. Two brothers engage in a fist fight. At the same time, things are getting harder for Veljko, because Ivana and Una demand that the police get involved. The whole situation is solved by Miro's call, who tells them that Jakov has been saved. After Jakov's rescue, Una and Jakov are getting more closer.Jakov blames his father for not paying for the ransom. Even Nika turns on her father. Novak tells Joco that he saw Petra mingling with the dodgy crowds, when Joco confronts her, she takes off. Jakov decides to move to Una's house, which leaves Lorena heart-broken. A suspicious Joco takes Petra's phone and he sees the nurses texts about Crni and finds his picture. He's livid with Petra and demands answers. Divna is forced to move out due to bad wiring, and she blames Ljubo for her misfortune. Ljubo invites Divna to stay with him, which she declines, but decides it's a good idea to move in with Ivana and Marina. Like he didn't have enough on his Plate- Joco runs into Jakov feeling just like at home at his house. Una stands her ground with Joco. Veljko receives divorce papers from Ivana. Upset Miro shows up with the news that all the equipment and the machinery has been stolen.

Divna moves in with Ivana and tries to convince her that she should reconcile with Veljko. Ivana cannot believe that Divna is being patronizing and teaches her a lesson. Also, Divna places her own set of rules when it comes to bringing up children. She's ready to do some order.Petra receives calls from the hospital regarding Crni, asking her to come right away. Joco puts Novak to follow her, but Petra spots him and decides to manipulate Joco, by making a detour. Veljko is frustrated because of the theft of equipment from the construction site. Nika feels sorry for his father, both Miro and Nika try to find a solution. Ivana and Zrinka can't stand Divna in the house, they decide to leave her alone with children and leave for a break in the country side. After leaving the construction site, Nika finds Toma returning the stolen equipment.

Ivana and Zrinka are waking up in a country side, but they run into new problems. Zrinka crashed the car into the neighbors 100 year old fence, who is now seeking compensation. Petra is under increasing stress as the wedding approaches. She calls Gabriela to let her know that Crni is getting better. In the hospital, Toma finds out that Petra often came to visit Crni and demands answers from her. Joco hires Miro to build a wedding plateau, while Ruzica and Petra bond. Divna manages to find out from Vili and Lea why they gave her a silent treatment - because they found out that their moms are getting divorced from Veljko, so Divna takes them to see their father. Nika is intrigued by Toma and is determined to learn more about him, so she gets in his car- not aware of the dangers she might discover. Zrinka and Ivana call Slaven to the rescue and after couple of drinks and Barbecue- Slaven decides to spend the night, when him and Ivana kiss.

There's uncomfortable situation in the air between Ivana and Slaven, regarding last night. Ivana tells him- it's better to forget about everything. Marina sees Veljko sleeping on a couch and with Divna around, playing the happy family- Marina calls Ivana to get back immediately. The two women think Veljko and Divna are up to something. Divna is determined for Veljko to fight for the children. They decide to talk about the custody agreement. when Veljko drops a bomb: He will let each of them to have the full custody- which shakes Divna and the children, who overheard the conversation. Petra has a guilt trip over everything that happened and she decides to confess everything to Joco, before the wedding. Joco has a new surprise for Petra, he bought her the exact same car that he thinks was stolen. Petra is guilt ridden even more. Nika follows Toma. She wants to know more on what happened to the equipment and who he really is. He tells her to let it go and that she should ask her brother for the truth. Marina finds herself in more trouble- The sanitary inspector detects that she's staying in the country illegally and she has no work permit. Joco steps in to settle the matter. Nika seeks Jakov and demands to know the truth about the kidnapping. Petra seeks Crni in the hospital, only to learn that he has been discharged.

Nika is upset over Jakov's lies regarding kidnapping and she accuses him of being sadistic. He asks her not to mention anything to Una, but Una insist to know that's going on. Nika tells her what Jakov did to Veljko - he "faked" the kidnapping and accuses Miro for helping him. Crni has disappeared from the hospital, but, he's alive, weak, and ready for a revenge. Toma informs him that Gabriela split and robbed him. Crni has nothing left. Petra freaks out. She calls Gabrijela, who tells her that she should have finished the job, when she had the chance. She advises her to run away, but Petra won't leave Joco. Veljko arranges his own funeral, so the family won't have any debts after his demise. Ivana and Divna engage in a fight, Ivana accuses her for plotting with Veljko. Damjan brings the work permit to Marina. Veljko tells Nika what he did with the custody. Nika is inconsolable. Petra is a nervous wreck, she tries to persuade Joco to postpone the wedding and travel a bit, but Joco won't hear it. Ivana seeks Veljko and demands to know what's going on with him? Veljko explains that he has reasons for giving up the custody. Crni puts Toma on a mission to track down Gabriela. Petra receives a bouquet of yellow roses, but Ruzica warns her about the number of roses. Her flowers are meant for the funerals. Nika tries to persuade her father to fight for his life.

Petra is waking up with a nightmares, while Joco is getting happier as the wedding day approaches and he doesn't understand Petra's fear, who's worried about Crni's possible revenge. Veljko asks Slaven to be there for Ivana when he's gone. Joco asks Miro to show a good time to his female business partner from Germany. Marina goes out to a dinner date with Damjan. Joco tells Jakov that he should contribute to household- Jakov goes to Ljubo and borrows the money to give it to Joco, which he does, but in front of Una. Jakov managed to humiliate Joco in front of his daughter. Joco's friend and best man, Andjelko arrives. Joco tries to hook him up with Ruzica, but Andjelko likes the young and restless Petra more, Andjelko turns out to be an obnoxious pig, therefore Joco throws him out of the house. Ivana opens up to Marina and admits that she went to Veljko in an attempt to understand who he really is. After all these years of marriage, she realized that she doesn't know him at all, but the two women agree, they still have a soft spot for him. Damjan gets a work call mid way through a dinner with Marina, which leaves Marina alone in the restaurant. Slaven decides to visit Ivana to apologize for what happened with them, but Ivana stops him and kisses him again- when Marina walks in and interrupts the kiss. Zeljka finds collapsed Veljko on the floor. Petra steals Joco's gun from the safe.

Petra is in fear of Crni, and the only thing that can save her is Joco's gun. She goes to practice shooting. Joco sends Miro to finalize the deal with Greta, and he wants Una to go with him as a translator. Jakov brings Ljubo's car to Drago to work on it. Zeljka begs Veljko to see the doctor, but he's reluctant. Sparks fly between Miro and Una. When Jakov calls, Una doesn't mention that Miro goes on a trip with her- until Joco spills it out. Ivana is under the impression of a kiss with Slaven, and Marina questions her about her love life. In the end, Marina admits to Ivana that her date with Damjan failed and that she doesn't want to listen to his excuses. Divna is showing the children old home videos- which upsets both, Marina and Ivana. Nika blackmails Veljko into going to the hospital. Damjan comes to apologize to Marina, but she won't listen to excuses. Miro and Greta meet to finalize the deal, but when Miro starts flirting with Greta, it makes Una jealous. Ljubo borrows the car to Jakov to go after Una and Miro.

Gabrijela escapes, but Toma is one step behind her. Petra breaks down in front of Drago - she shows fear, but doesn't tell him the real reason she got the gun - he offers to teach her how to shoot. Veljko agreed to go to the hospital because of Nika. And while Nika is waiting for his father to do tests and is worried, Veljko meets an old friend who is suffering from an incurable disease. Una is still jealous.s over Miro and Greta. Marina and Ivana decide to have a chat with Divna, who takes their words to heart and decides to leave the house, when she arrives home, she finds a total mess and is forced to move back with Ivana and Marina. Marina is escorted to the police station, where another surprise awaits her. Jealous Jakov arrives at the hotel convinced that Una is with Miro. He decides to propose to her on the restaurant, in front of everyone.

Una is in shock after Jakov's proposal, but she still accepts. Miro takes the news hard and decides to return to Zagreb. Veljko's seriously ill friend from high school, Frane, has one last wish - to see the woman he was in love with, but never had the courage to tell her. Veljko decides to help Fran to grant him the wish, at the expense of his own arranged examination. Sanja learns about Drago being fired and is upset, but when Petra takes him home, she offers him a Security job. Veljko takes Frane back to the hospital, but Nika is really upset with him. Ivana is getting ready for a date with Slaven, but when his ex girlfriend shows up- he is forced to cancel. Miro returns to the bar, just like Una and Jakov. Toma has Gabrijela and kidnaps her. He brings her to Crni. Jakov announces in front of everybody that he and Una got engaged, Everybody cheers, except Miro and Lorena, who is crushed.

Veljko has problems at construction site, one of the workers got injured and Miro threatens him and stops the work. As usual, Zeljka is by Veljko's side and tells him that everyone in the company, including him, is insured in case of an accident. Ivana decides to throw a dinner party for Jakov an Una's engagement and invites the Praljak's. Petra's still in a mortal fear of Crni, who sees her calling Gabrijela's phone, who doesn't answer and he gets livid. He now realizes that both women are in cahoots. Joco and Petra's wedding are in full swing. Sanja is still upset over Drago's lies, but she forgives him. Lorena's heart is broken over Jakov. Divna gets upset when she realizes she wasn't invited to a family dinner party. Damjan takes Marina out, but Divna tries to manipulate the situation. Nika and Toma run into each other again, he runs after her and they kiss. Crni confronts Gabrijela. Veljko is wondering the streets and finds himself on a bridge. He's gathering the courage to jump, but will the call from Divna stop him?

Ivana tries everything to make Jakov and Una's engagement dinner a success, but nothing goes as planned. Divna informs Ivana that she invited Veljko to come to the dinner, which upsets Ivana. Zrinka and Ruzica start bickering which leads to an incident. Slaven calls Ivana to meet him in front of the house, he gives her a gift and they kiss, just when Veljko walks in. Veljko punches Slaven. Now that Petra knows that Crni kidnapped Gabrijela, in fear, she goes to the bar and takes money from the cash register and she's thinking about leaving the country . Gabrijela tries to escape. She manages to get away from Crni and runs away, but Toma catches her. Lea stops Damjan from kissing Marina and tells it to her grandmother. Upset Divna summons both women and tells them off. Nika can't listen to it anymore- she goes inside and tells her family that her father is dying of a stage four cancer. Everybody is shocked. Joco invites Veljko for a drink. He has a confession to make.

While the family learns that Veljko is mortally sick, and everybody's in a state of shock, Joco reveals to Veljko that he wanted to get a revenge on him and he bribed a technician in the hospital to manipulate the medical results. Velko's in disbelief. He can't believe that he is not sick. Veljko makes Joco go to the hospital with him to make new tests- when the doctor reveals that he's healthy and has nothing more than an ulcer. Petra follows Toma and Crni who brought Gabriela to the forest lake . Crni orders Toma to kill Gabriela,which he can't do, so Crni takes the gun and shoots his wife. Toma is left do dispose the body. It's getting harder for Lorena to look at the happy Jakov and Una. Drago clumsily tries to comfort his daughter by telling her about his former girlfriend - when he tells Sanja, she had no idea. So Sanja also gets upset. As Joco and Veljko bond, Veljko fires Slaven, but at the same time goes back on the bridge and celebrates his life. Joco tells Miro to cut Veljko some slack and to lift the ban on his project. Distraught Petra arrives home shaking. Veljko goes home, not knowing that the family has learned from Nika that he's "sick". Before he can tell them that he is healthy, the women embrace him.

Everyone is shocked by the news about Veljko's illness. Veljko tries to tell Ivana and Marina the truth, but Divna gets weak and everyone focuses on her. Shocked by the news, Nika tells Jakov the news about his father and Jakov shows concern for his father for the first time in a long time, he goes home and they hug. Ivana feels guilty for not feeling enough empathy towards Veljko as much as Marina does, but Marina reassures her. Joco asks Miro to be his best man at the wedding. Tomo starts feeling guilt for working for Crni, he wants out, but it's too heavily involved, he warns Petra to disappear as soon as possible as Crni is after her. Petra asks Joco to go on a trip, so she might be safe. Petra asks Lorena to take care of the business while she's gone. Veljko asks Joco to keep his secret. Miro is determined to shut down the construction site but when Nika breaks the news to him- he also decides to be there for his father. Divna begs Vili and Lea to be good to their father and listen to him no matter what happens. Ivana and Marina are preparing a room for Veljko and the two women welcome him back in the house with open arms. Tomo and Nika meet again, as much as he tries to be resist- they can not hold their feelings for each other anymore. He takes her to a bar and they make a passionate love.

After spending the night together, Toma pushes Nika away. Nika is hurt and doesn't want to see him anymore. Veljko wakes up at home, showered with attention from his two wives, children and the mother, and spends a quality day with Vili and Lea. Those moments bring Ivana and Marina even closer. Miro surprises Joco with a bachelor party. Joco is overjoyed, but when a policewoman approaches him to warn them about violating public order and peace, Joco thinks she is a stripper and ends up in handcuffs. Nika leaves her phone at the bar, so she, Tereza and Lorena head over there to get Nika's stuff, but the girls end up getting drunk. Vilma wants to help Toma to get closer to Nika. She sees the good in him. Nika passes out in Toma's arms and he brings her home. Petra hires a hit man to kill Crni, but Crni shows up at her house, wanting a revenge.

Crni threatens Petra, he tries to strangle her, but the police brings Joco and Miro home, drunk and Crni disappears, leaving Petra disturbed. After Joco's bachelor party, Una finds drunk Miro sleeping in the shower. She tries to help him, but he kisses her. Petra warns Miro not to do it, but she's not immune to Miro. The Simats continue to argue about the past, and Sanja keeps being jealous. Pera gets a call from the hit man she hires, who claims he'll take care of Crni, which doesn't happen as he is one of Crni's friends. Petra, being more relaxed after thinking that Crni has been taken care of, she asks Lorena to be her maid of honor. Veljko enjoys the attention of his family. Divna demands to visit all the doctors and find a cure for his condition. The suitors, Slaven and Damjan arrive at the house with flowers for Marina and Ivana. They managed to escape leaving them to Zrinka's mercy. Veljko and Divna arrive home, as Zrinka gets rid of Slaven and Damjan, Divna overhears Veljko saying he's not really sick.

Veljko is forced to admit to his mother that he is not really sick and that he is lying to his two wives. Diva is angry, and slaps him, but reluctantly agrees to support him in deceiving the rest of the family. Convinced that Crni is dead, Petra continues with preparations for the upcoming wedding. Lorena agrees to be Petra's maid of honor and takes her to the house to pick one of her dresses. Sanja and Drago are in big trouble when Lorena tells them that she will need her her baptismal certificate for Petra's church wedding. It is obvious that Sanja and Drago are keeping a secret from her. Marina tells Damjan she can't see him anymore due to current circumstances with Veljko and Ivana does the same with Slaven. Una tears some pages out from her journal, where she wrote about her and Miro's night together in a hotel and throws the pages in the bin. Later, Jakov finds the tossed pages and reads everything. Jakov can't get over the deception from Una and his half brother. Lorena runs after him. She's his comfort in the time of need, but they end up making love. Una tells Miro they should try to avoid each other.

The day of Petra and Joco's wedding has arrived. Everybody's getting ready for the event. Since Veljko plans to attend, Marina and Ivana decide one of them should go with him. The women agree that Ivana should go as Veljko's chaperon, but Marina still feels jealous. After spending the night with Lorena, Jakov practically runs away while Lorena thinks that the two of them are now together. Jakov seeks advice from his mother. Una can't reach Jakov. Lorena asks her mother about the baptismal certificate, but Sanja tries to buy time. At the last minute, Drago shows up with a forged certificate, but they pay a high price for it. Crni decides to attend Petra's wedding. Petra finally marries Joco, but her happiness is short-lived because Crni appears at the church door. He takes Petra away in his car.

Joco is worried about Petra as she disappeared from the church. Petra answers his call, briefly but hides that she was taken by Crni. She tells him that she has a surprise for him and that they will see each other soon. Lorena is upset when she realizes that Jakov will not leave Una. Both, Lorena and Miro are jealous. Lorena confronts Jakov, and he tries to be as considerate of her as possible, but still hurts her. Veljko dances with Ivana, which awakens Marina's jealousy, so she interrupts their dance. Crni takes Petra home and tries to torture her. He's torn between the love and hate for her. As Petra is still a No show, Joco wants to call the police, but she arrives home, where Miro finds her. Sanja and Drago are relieved that Lorena didn't find out the truth, Veljko gets drunk and both women are taking him home. Petra finally arrives to the party and kisses Joco, while Crni has been left heart broken.

Nika faces Toma with the truth about him being a criminal. She threatens to expose him, but Toma tells her to be careful as her father is working for Crni. Marina and Ivana bring drunk Veljko home. While helping him to change before going to bed, Ivana learns more spicy details from Veljko's marriage to Marina.Joco is overjoyed because Petra is now his wife, but he has no clue in what kind of troubles she's in. Vilma keeps explaining to Toma, that he's in love with Nika, but he tries to resist it. Vilma decides to visit Crni after Petra's wedding. In case of emergency, Joco explains to Petra the content of the safe. Crni lets Vilma to pick up everything she desires from Petra's stuff. Miro and Zeljko are drinking and while Miro drowns his sorrows in alcohol, After Jakov falls asleep, Una calls and Miro goes to see her, immediately. Miro tells her he couldn't stop thinking of her, but he won't be manipulate anymore and he tells her he will not wait for her any longer. Heart broken Miro leaves. Nika asks Veljko if he's connected to the mob, more with Crni. Marina and Ivana have booked Veljko for a check up in the hospital, but he split on them. Divna goes home to check on the work progress in her apartment, but runs into her neighbor who congratulates her on her relationship with Ljubo. Divna tells Ljubo off for giving the wrong impression. Miro loses his drivers license and Joco hires Jakov to be his brother's personal driver. Petra is looking for Crni, but she finds Vilma wearing her clothes and jewelry. Since Vilma refuses to take off Petra's stuff, they engage in a cat fight. The women find Veljko hiding in his office and they drag him to the hospital.

After a physical fight with Vilma, Petra managed to grab her necklace off her neck. Their cat-fight was interrupted by Crni and Toma. Nika shows up in Crni's bar and asks him to leave her dying father alone. Crni laughs her off. Ivana and Marina manage to drag Veljko to be examined by dr. Bratos. Veljko uses this as an opportunity to get a new contract deal to build an additional hospital deal, also he has good news for Ivana and Marina: there is an experimental therapy in the USA that could potentially help him. After the fight with Vilma, bruised Petra shows up in a Bar, and Lorena helps her to cover up the bruise. The two women bond. Jakov and Zeljko take Miro to the hospital, as a bag of cement was dropped on his foot. Ljubo takes reluctant Divna on a field trip, but they have a car trouble. Drago asks for a advice from Zrinka, what to gift Sanja for their anniversary. Sanja's hopes for a dish washer were destroyed, when Drago gifts her a fur coat. Jakov tells Miro that one day, he plans to take over Joco's business. Ljubo hits Miro an Jakov's car, disoriented, he faints.

Jakov and Miro bring Ljubo in the house. Ljubo suffered a slight concussion, but everybody is taking care of him, even Divna. Joco criticizes Jakov for damaging his car in the accident with Ljubo. Jakov is getting more and more upset, so he lashes out at Una when she asks him to take her to the theater. A friend invites Una to join the production as the opportunity had opened up for a role in "Antigone". Una is shocked when she realizes that she was actually invited by the director who bullied her at the acting Academy. Joco asks Petra to apologize to Ruzica for throwing her wedding gift- a painting away, which she does, but Ruska is still rude to Petra. Drago takes out Sanja for a lunch, in her new fur coat. Dino asks Lorena to cover the immigrant smuggling story. Nika is increasingly worried about her father. Veljko goes to see Crni, who invites him for a meeting. As Veljko scored a big construction job with the hospital, Crni decides to take all his equipment as a payback. Veljko's now in trouble.

Miro finds out about the disappearance of the equipment and thinks that it was stolen. He goes to Veljko with the intention of alerting Joco and the police. Veljko admits his involvement and begs his son to keep quiet, although he did not tell him the real reason why he did it. Nika spies on Crni in order to get some evidence, but she gets caught by Toma, who takes her home and destroys her phone. The two keep loving each other, even though their relation is impossible. Marina motivates Ivana to look for a new job, Ivana takes her advice and contacts Doctor Bratos and asks him for a favor. Ljubo seeks a professional advice from Ivana, on how to win Divna's heart. Jakov follows Lorena to her journalist assignment to an abandoned immigrant site and they discover the abandoned baby. Ruzica helps Una to deal with her insecurities. Miro sees Petra and Crni in the heat of an argument. Miro demands to know the truth.
