Before the closing credits, the text revealed what happened after the survivors of the Lisbon Maru arrived on shore where the Japanese decided not to shoot the island villagers due to the potential international outcry if they had did so.

That was before testimonials of the descendants of those who survived spoke what the latter had encountered after the sinking of the Lisbon Maru, including the descendants of the rescuers from Dongji island telling the story they were being told of what happened on that day.
