The meaning of the Italian name is "A short love story" and it takes the time to tell a story about a couple that start a short love story, while are married and off course this story evolves to become something else, with intensity and tries to create branches to itself, but actually doesn't make it so well.

It is a story that has its twist, that will be finally be revealed, but the way to this revelation didn't actually convince me that it was built properly, to create a different type of ending then the one I suspected this story will get. Three third of the movie tries to convince us we've got this short love story, but in the end, it turns out to be something slightly different.

The things I felt were missing, in this movie, revolved around the depth of the characters and the story around them. The main male character almost doesn't get any exploration and the only metaphor we get to see regarding him is his ant farm. Also, he's got a friend, that feels grinded from life's daily routine; that's about it.

The female character gets much more exploration and attention and we start to suspect, somewhere along the way she has weird behavior, but the rest is saved to the last act of the movie, as it should. Both characters didn't have much chemistry, as I saw it and their entire love affair wasn't that convincing.

The things that did work for me in this movie where the atmosphere around both characters. The subtext and sometimes the text itself was about married life, with or without kids and especially from several age angles, but all of those were too little and didn't try to take a heavier weight in this movie.

This is another story that was told from different perspective and angle but doesn't really tell any different story from a lot of others in the genre and field. Not something we have never seen before and not something that will stay with us for a long time after watching the movie.

The experience itself, the vibe of the movie and the execution around it, were the better parts of it and made me enjoy it, but it flew from my memory almost right away, after watching it. I will not remember it, though the watching experience was pretty good, but lacked the excitement, thrilling feeling and a lot of others that related to romance story.

The collaboration of Adriano Giannini and Valeria Golino (forever Susanna from "Rain man" and the female character from "Hot Shots!" films) writes another fine chapter and they are both good in this movie, but the leading part is definitely saved for Pilar Fogliati, that takes the lead and makes such a great job in this movie.

It felt like a great experience; watching this movie in theatre, but it will not loose any elements as part of home watching. Something very mechanic was part of this experience and it will be pretty fast move into the part in the brain where we forget those movies we watched and like a bit, but not enough.
