Imminent Arrival is a very intriguing sci-fi short film about an isolated conspiracy theorist and doomsday prepper who has piled up tons of guns to prepare for alien invasion, terrorist attacks, or whatever chaotic end of the world he can imagine - until, out of the blue, what seems to be an alien spaceship reaches his remote farm and sends strange drones toward his house, throwing his survival plans off-course in ways he never anticipated, proving that even the most prepared person can't fully predict the unknown. The acting is strong and committed, with a protagonist who is genuinely hilarious and unforgettable in his intensity, while the special effects and drone/UFO design are impressively high-quality for an indie short, adding real cinematic weight and immersion to the suspense.
