Goofs
During the opening monologue, the other off-screen voices in the factory are all obviously Aaron Migdon. He did this for a temporary sound mix and never dubbed in other people's voices. The floating theory is that the main character sees himself as "one of them", even though he is not. He is their boss.

Alternate versions
The opening shots of farmland originally had no music, but rather the main character reciting a poem in the bathroom at work before his shift begins. This was done as a voice-over followed by a short dialogue with a co-worker. Everyone the director showed hated it, so he removed the poem and added a friend's song instead. This song became the main theme of the movie.
