The shots of Jake in the trashy hotel were filmed in two separate hotels. Cast and crew shot inside one hotel for a few hours before getting kicked out due to time constraints. They figured everything would have to be re-shot. It was, however, a miracle when they stumbled across a hotel room with matching wood paneling and white walls right up the road. Getting the shots to match took some creativity but it turned out quite well.
