This is a very interesting short, and probably one of the few of its kind. The film feels highly experimental, combining photographs with varied graphic illustrations as well as posters originally used to advertise arts events. Familiar themes appear, such as a satirical take on Western modern culture, though not as strongly as in some of the director's other works. Instead, the Japanese perspective on art is more explicit here, featuring pieces created in traditional Japanese styles and "Japanized" depictions of Western medieval scenes. The music is eerie but calmer than one might expect for a film like this. The animation style is primarily a collage of images, with only small elements animated-mostly through cut-and-paste techniques.
