What a truly emotional short Donor is. As someone who's experienced the loss of a child full term, this really resonated with me on a level I did not expect.

The performance of Gordy Cassel is raw, undeniable and so on the money. The horror genre is stacked with films that portray loss, but never before have I felt more seen in a character.

The film is shot to perfection, playing into the weight of the narrative and allowing our actors to deliver a gut punch of a story. I can't recall a film that had me hooked in such a way for a long time. But don't just take my word for it; once the credits rolled there was a collective slow exhale across the audience. We all felt the power of this short, and you could hear the emotion in that dark space.

Writer/Director Wesley Boone has produced a hell of a film here. This is a filmmaker who knows how to use their experience to create an emotional and heartfelt piece of art, evoking real reactions from their audience. They're without a doubt one to watch for the future.
