Streaming Stars, Then and Now

The Motorist is a sprawling portrait of a precocious working-class American family throughout the 1980s-1990s, chronicling a mysterious drifter and his sister. In this proof-of-concept we are introduced to Alexandra Barker, middle-child and intensive care nurse with a rearview perspective. Unassertive and preoccupied, she takes abuse and lacks personal sovereignty. Alexandra is comforted by memories of simpler times, wherein we briefly meet THE MOTORIST.
