Director Morihito Inoue about horror and comedy: "You're talking about balance and something that, you know, laughter and fear are essentially, they're almost like two sides of the same coin. You can kind of separate them by a thin slip of paper, like, for example, if you take something upi fear far enough, you take horror far enough, it eventually becomes absurd and becomes funny. So for me, I wasn't really worried so much about balance. I was just kind of thinking, hey, let's just go straight into the comedy. Let's just have fun with it and see what comes out."
