A re-edited version was shown in Vietnam, in which several scenes were cut or modified: 1. At the beginning of the film, the antique shop owner is stabbed in the stomach with an arrow. The subsequent scene depicting the arrow being pulled out, dragging his intestines along with it, was cut. 2. The scene where Annie's neck is severed by a chef's knife. Only the cut itself and her head slowly detaching from her neck are shown. The following scene where the head falls, as well as the close-up shot of the head on the stove, were cut. 3. In the scene depicting Uncle Chip's death, we see horses trampling the sleeping bag in low-fps slow motion. The scene where the sleeping bag is opened to reveal mangled flesh was cut, while the slow-motion shot of the horses was extended to make up for the cut duration. 4. In the scene depicting the swimming woman's death, after she is electrocuted underwater, the shot of her severed arm flying out and nearly hitting Hal was cut. Hal's shocked reaction a second later was retained. 5. The scene where Barbara is shot, specifically the shot of her entire body exploding, was cut. 6. The scene where the bowling ball strikes Bill straight in the face, the shot showing Bill losing his head with only his neck remaining, was cut. However, the shot of Bill's mangled face stuck to the bowling ball was retained. Despite the heavy censorship, the film's distributor promoted it as "uncut," using editing tricks to trim certain parts while extending others to maintain a matching total runtime of 98 minutes.
