It's Derek's fiftieth birthday and he's planned every last detail for his party, Kev thinks it's a good idea to give him a few cans of Special Brew. Vicky, a teenage thief, with an attitude and low sense of self worth is sent in to do community service.

It's touching, it's funny, it's sad, it's great viewing, there's just nothing like this show on the box anymore, the writing here I'd argue is phenomenal.

The laughs are ever present, but it's Vicky's thoroughly moving journey that makes this episode such a winner, someone who's lost her way, manages to find her place, terrific.

The writing was always on the wall for young Holli Dempsey, a very talented actor, she's someone who's frequently seen on TV, she's fantastic in this episode as Vicky.

It's wonderful.
