shortly before "Moonlight", Barry Jenkins looks at green

Barry Jenkins became a household name with his Oscar-winning "Moonlight". It turned out that he had directed some stuff before then. One of his works was "Chlorophyl", about a woman's relationship with an uncouth man in Miami. The short alternates between their relationship and the woman's musings on the title substance (namely its absorption of the blue and red spectra but reflection of green).

It's nothing special, but it offers us a look at Miami that we don't tend to get, just like Jenkins's more famous movie did. Available on Vimeo.
