The Art TV (pilot) was filmed in Australia and the USA from 2008-2009. From 2010 to 2011 Networks rejected the series because it was for too small of a "niche market". In 2023 Art TV with Felicity (season one) was created, and signed to Encore in-flight (HK) for worldwide in-flight distribution. Encore green-lit Art TV based on the original 2009 Art TV (pilot).
Felicity's grandfather, Veikko Malinen (1915-1992), co-founded The Kotka Arts Society in Finland. He was an impressionist and abstract expressionist artist. Felicity's mother, Marja-Leena Malinen, is an impressionist and abstract expressionist painter known for her Australian landscape paintings.
