From the opening 5 secs something told me this documentary was going to be special. It had me captivated from start to finish. I'm no die hard Rugby fan, though I'll always remember how significant Lomu is and was for and in the world of rugby.

I never fully knew the story and background for Jonah in between matches, and watching it made me feel very nostalgic. The docu-movie showed me his dedication and devotion to a dream right the way through his life that was so inspiring to witness, and such emotional aspects within the sport and for how everything unfolded. There's so much I didn't know that brought light to his life and the history of rugby.

The documentary isn't just about the man but everyone and everything he touched, and I feel there is so much to relate to be it fan or not, especially for those having grown up in cultural environments both challenging and beautifully rich.

The movie is exquisitely balanced from its needle drops that didn't overtake or distract from the narrative, the footage public and personal, the insights, and everything in-between all blended perfectly to give such a rounded documentary, which had my attention and presence right up until the rolling credits.

Whether you're a fan or not, there's something here that will leave you moved and plenty to talk about afterwards, just make sure you take a few tissues with you.
